Thus far, we are surviving the holidays. We are in Portland this year, and Caleb is getting use to a wet Christmas rather than a white one. We kicked things off with a Christmas Eve open house where the neighborhood kids were all reunited for the first time in about 10 years. We have grown up together–from little naked tikes in the front yard, to flashlight tag, around the hood, and now we are scattered all throughout the states.
We continued the celebration with matching Christmas pants my mom made. We each have a pair. We have been ordered to wear them at all times. It’s a good thing they are comfy…flannel and all.
Joe has mastered a simple, yet delightful macaroon recipe. Golden brown and then dipped in chocolate. I think we each ate about 3 a day. Scrumptious.
Merry Christmas. Hope it’s been a good one. At least one with some good moments. Enjoy these last few days of the holidays.
